From barn to housing in Ellange.

The renovation of the former barn A Kréiesch in Ellange is progressing. The historic building is being transformed to host new residential uses, including two social housing apartments under the roof.

The former barn A Kréiesch, located in the centre of Ellange and dating back to the early 19th century, is currently undergoing a careful renovation and building transformation.

Once used for storage, the attic space is now being adapted for residential use. As part of the project, two social housing apartments are being created under the roof, giving new purpose to an area that had remained unused for decades.

The renovation follows a step-by-step process, from the initial analysis of the existing structure to planning through 3D visualisations and the current construction phase on site. The objective is to work with the existing building fabric while meeting today’s residential and functional requirements.

The overall transformation also includes a brasserie on the ground floor, contributing to a mixed-use building that combines public life and housing under one roof.

Initiated by the Municipality of Mondorf-les-Bains, the project reflects a clear commitment to residential development, the renovation of built heritage and a sustainable contribution to the local community.
