Context
The existing town hall is undergoing a major transformation to meet the requirements of a modern public administration. The focus lies on a functional reorganisation of the spatial layout: public areas such as the citizens’ service centre will be clearly separated from internal administrative zones. This improves orientation, enhances clarity, and creates a welcoming reception area.
An entrance accessible to people with reduced mobility will be created in an extension on the left side of the building, ensuring barrier-free and equal access.
At the same time, staff workspaces will be reorganised. Office areas are being restructured to be more efficient and user-friendly, in line with contemporary standards for ergonomics, technology and teamwork.
The entire building will be brought up to date in technical terms – including all safety-relevant measures such as fire protection.
Architectural design focuses on a calm, coherent appearance, characterised by high-quality materials and an appealing aesthetic.
Heritage conservation requirements are carefully taken into account: the historical character of the building will be preserved and sensitively developed.
During the construction phase, all functions of the town hall – including citizen services – will temporarily be relocated to a nearby building.
